How To Avoid Giving A Best Man Speech That Sucks
If you have been asked to be someone's best man at his wedding, then the one thing you won't want to do is to give a really bad best man speech. The best man speech can be a big part of the day and there is often a lot of pressure on the best man to make sure he gets it right; you want it to be remembered for the right reasons after all. The ideas below are great for anyone who will be giving a best man speech and who doesn't want to end up giving one that sucks.
- When it comes to a best man speech a lot will depend on the amount of effort you put into it. Some people attempt to wing it with an impromptu speech and this is the most likely to be a disaster. You are more likely to perform really badly on the day if you don't put much effort into the speech. Even if you have a couple of months to go before the wedding you should start preparing now preparation takes time and you may be surprised at how fast the time passes between now and then.
- The guests at the wedding should be considered by you and you should concentrate on the bride and groom in the speech. You should make sure the content of your speech is appropriate for all the guests and never take this opportunity to air any grievances that you have with others.
- Take a light hearted approach when writing your speech but when it comes to joke telling you need to take care. At the end of the day, there are many people who just can't get a response when telling a joke so too many jokes in a speech could end up being very cringeworthy. Your speech will probably be better if you can manage to fit in a couple of jokes no matter if you are a natural comic or not but you should draw the line there and don't attempt a stand up comedy routine or you could live to regret it.
When somebody marries they realize their life will not be the same any more. At least fellas would believe so, anyhow. What better way to see off single life than with a stag weekend Budapest?
