The Electric Fender Basses Made Music History

The well known Fender mark brought the public the inaugural mass-produced bass guitar in the 50's. From the very start, Fender's electric bass guitar became popular among countless professionals, especially when bassists Roy Johnson and William 'Monk' Montgomery along with band leader and visionary musician, Lionel Hampton, along with his talented bass players, are what greatly essentially made Fender electric bass guitar popular and respected among musicians. Within a bit of the Precision Bass being released by Fender, another electric bass guitar was brought forward by Gibson. This new bass guitar appeared like more of a violin than the Fender bass. By this point, electric instruments were here to stay and play a major role in the musical industry as we now know it.

Fender bass guitars have shifted very little since their release, despite a few aesthetic changes over the years. There is a great demand for genuine vintage Fender basses from the fifties, sixties, and even seventies, because Fender began to design basses that greatly deviated from the original models and they were met with extreme dissatisfaction from many bass players.

In today's market, bass guitars are available in diverse shapes and construction components which leads to the question of which is better. This selection is entirely up to the judgment of the musician playing the bass. Wood is the most ordinarily used construction material for bass guitars. Different types of woods are, nevertheless, being used, and received well, such as alder and ebony as well as graphite. Similar shoes, you will want to try a few basses out to figure out which sound and tone you appreciate most. You might even decide if you desire frets on your neck. The presence or absence of frets is another ingredient that modifies the sound since the strings will be vibrating on a metal fret or a wood neck.

Whether you choose wood, graphite, frets, or no frets, bass guitar playing is a fun and crucial element in music that completes the full sound.
