Why Guys Will Forever Love The Color Black
Is black the new black? It's fairly obvious that one of the most popular colors in fashion, style, culture and just about anything else one would care to mention these days -- including the high-speed, low drag sports cars many young guys are driving around in -- is still black. It never seems to go out of style and there are certainly a good many reasons for why.
But that's probably not the biggest reason why men of any age love the color. No, it's probably more true that they love it because it works exceedingly well at hiding a lot of dirt. Who wouldn't love something black in color -- at least if it's a guy -- that not only can make something look good but keep people from seeing how truly and hideously dirty it is. Even a simple black helmet for motorcycle riding never has to be cleaned when it's in black.
In truth, keeping people -- especially women -- from seeing all of the dirt that probably coats everything a man owns is an important factor in how and why men by certain things and the colors they buy those things in. Think about it; the guy can get away with wearing a black colored pair of pants for three or more months in a row without it ever having to get close to approaching that death machine it's also known as a washing machine.
For just about every guy, the color black makes picking out clothing or accessories exceedingly easy, even when it comes to finding a black sport watch. All that he needs to know is that the watch will be colored in black and that he can probably find it for eight bucks at the local discount store and he is happy as a clam. And besides; that eight dollar watch probably runs as nicely as a $3000 Swiss watch, leaving $2992 to spend on good stuff like video games, right?
There's really nothing arcane or esoteric about a man and his love of the color black. Any male of the species, almost from the time he emerges from the womb, gets the notion that black pants are great at hiding things, especially when their stains around the crotch area that have just been washed off with a wet dishcloth. Try pulling that little stunt wearing a nice pair of chi-chi khakis, guys.
If there's anything, really, to complain about as far as things are colored black, it just might be that a guy who insists on going around dressed in it from head to toe might be mistaken for some ninja warrior out on a mission. Of course, his very cute Day-Glo men's sport watch would have given him away, how else would he know that it's time to head to his favorite chat room to discuss the goings-on at his favorite online first-person shooter game?
So then; it is well that the color black has decided to grace the presence of most guys, especially if they're concerned about not having to wash those pesky black pants after just 13 or 14 uses. And though a guy is in danger of being mistaken for some kind of ninja assassin if he falls too in love with the color black, its slimming properties can make even the most portly among the guy population look practically svelte, and that's never a bad thing, is it?
